MARSHALL SHARPE

Marshall
D. Marshall Sharpe is a Waialua, HI resident and English teacher at Mililani Middle School. After graduating from Elon University in NC with a BA in Painting and International Studies (Magna Cum Laude), Sharpe moved to Hawaii through the Teach for America program, where he began incorporating place-based color, text-based abstraction and portraiture into his work.

His current artwork focuses on creating empathy for the rights of indigenous Hawaiians through a series of text-based portraits depicting the Hawaiian monarchs. In 2013, Sharpe’s painting, “Kamehameha III” was one of 58 pieces (out of 531 submissions) selected for the Honolulu Japanese Chamber of Commerce Annual Exhibit, “Commitment to Excellence.”

EVELIN WANDER

Evelyn
With a keen sense of artistic styles and the expertise to apply her skills to any art project, Evelin Wander has been commissioned to paint on canvas, walls, panels, flooring, furniture, as well as on some unusual surfaces.

Her work is found now in private residences as well as in public spaces. Through her strong connection to her European origins, Evelin’s specialty is Historic Folk Art Reproduction and one-of-a-kind creations. She is skilled in Landscape, Trompe l’Oeil- Illusion, and Portraiture.
