In each class you will create your very own island inspired masterpiece, step by step, to take with you at the end of the night. Paints, Canvas, Brushes, Easel, Apron and Instruction provided. Our emphasis is on having fun while you Paint, Create & Celebrate in your own unique fashion.
I am not a painter in any way-shape-or-form; is this for me?
There is no painting skill required or needed what-so-ever. Just an open mind and a desire to have fun! We will help you every step of the way! You will be amazed at your creation.
Do I need to bring my own painting supplies?
No. We supply everything for you – Canvas, paints, brushes, easel, apron and instruction. Just bring yourself, bring your friends and family, and bring an open mind!
What should I wear?
Wear your comfortable clothes. We provide aprons, and we do not anticipate any drips. However we are not responsible for any paint on your personal belongings.
What time should I arrive for class?
20-25 minutes before scheduled start time should be plenty of time to meet up with your friends, find a good seat, and get settled in. We start class promptly at the scheduled time.
What does the class fee include?
The class fee includes all use of paint, brushes, apron, easel, canvas, art instruction and fun!
We might get hungry, can we bring outside food and beverages?
Certain locations do allow you to bring in your own food and beverage while others ask that you patronize the establishment hosting the Paint The Night Away event. Often there are specials or discounts available to attendees from time to time. For private pARTies, please ask your host.
Do I need to make a reservation?
Reservations are strongly encouraged. In order to “reserve” your canvas, you must pay online by going through the registration process. Just go to the Classes Page to pick your day, location and class. There is no guarantee otherwise. We are happy to accommodate walk-ins providing there is space. If you have a large group, try and arrive early to reserve enough seats together.
What if I can’t make the class that I have already paid for?
We certainly understand last minute changes of plans. We are happy to provide you with a credit to use towards a future class or event. There are no refunds provided.
I want to come with a group, what do I do?
We love groups! Simply reserve online, if you see what you like. There is space to indicate how many are coming. If you prefer, you may contact us directly and we will create a class just for your group, from any painting in our gallery. Simply call (808) 258-2248, or email aloha@PaintTheNightAway.net.
What is class like?
Class is a group setting that is lead by a local artist. Each step of the painting is demonstrated and ‘guidelines’ are given to handle each section. How you choose to make the painitng your own is totally up to you. The instructor is always available to help and checks in on each painter’s progress throughout the night. Each painter will leave class with a completed masterpiece for either themselves or a gift.
What size is the canvas?
Typically it will be 12 x 16 inches, but may vary. We use standard canvas sizes and you can find plenty of frames at your local framing store of home store in these sizes.
Does Paint the Night Away participate in Fundraising efforts?
We definitely want to help you support your school or charity! Please submit your idea for your event using our online form.
Is this a good idea for a first date?
Absolutely! This is a very low pressure, fun loving atmosphere! You can sit and visit all you want, or focus on your painting if it’s not going so well! These events are also great icebreakers for larger groups or to help facilitate interaction.
